Both of these are opinions. If you can apply the logic that there are no good or bad genres, then you can apply that logic to songs also

I completely agree. However, some genres have a predominantly bad majority of songs for some people. For example, I detest rap because to me 90% of it is just a degrading, immature genre, and I don't like country because of the simple rhythm of it. But I can appreciate some of Eminem/Fort Minor's songs, and I can appreciate Kenny Chesney. It's all about minorities and majorities. There aren't bad genres, but the majority of the genre can be bad.
