I don't think any open minded atheist says that. What is true is that if you boil down all of the religions to their core, they have the same moral teachings. Don't steal from your neighbour, don't kill an inoccent man, ect. So.. Uhmm. Yeah!

The object of sports are the same. The object is to win, just the process to get there is different. It's the same with religion. They look different on the outside but if you actually look at their cores (as the user above mentioned), they're generally the same in their teachings and objects.

Sports are not the same but have basically the same idea. Get the ball into the goal, that's the object of most sports. So if you think about it, in the way most sports have a goalie, most religions have a god. In the way most sports have players, most religions have "angels" (or something similar). In the way most sports have balls, most religions have a book. In the way most sports have a winner, most religions have a "Heaven".

Actually many religions share similar ideas and philosophies. Jesus is like Mohammed. God is like Allah. Etc.

actually Jesus and Mohammed are two prophets what you're saying doesn't match in that both of these people are considered Prophets in Islam in shorter words Jesus is a Prophet in Islam also God is mentioned in several religions (Judaism, Islam, Zoroastrianism are examples) God has many names and Allah is one of them Allah is the Arabic word for God Dios is the Spanish word for God God=Allah=Dios further explanation: Arabs who are Christian say Allah so it's not "like" God is Allah and Allah is God
