+57 It's a shame that drunk driving is such a problem (at least in the United States). It's also a shame that the penalties aren't much harsher, amirite?

Don't believe that the penalties aren't harsh enough? Consider the case of Bruce Kimball. After killing two teenagers while driving under the influence and serving 5 years in prison, he is back on the roads again. I'm all for second chances, but in my opinion, he shouldn't be allowed to drive until it's assured that he will never ever again get behind a vehicle while drunk.

5 years for killing two teens? What the hell, America.

not only does the drunk driver hurt his/herself, but he/she harms other people too and if the drunk driver survives and the others don't, how is that person supposed to deal with that?
