It's better for a doctor to overestimate a health issue than to underestimate it, amirite?

I'd really hope that as a doctor they could just get it exactly right.

well we can't always get what we hope for

True, it's just that they go to school for a long long time to avoid misinterpreting a problem.
I'd probably have to agree though that an overestimate is preferable to an underestimate.
by Anonymous11 years ago
that is true but docs have differences in opinion kinda like the way scholars have on many topics
there's always more to know
ya know?

Well, not always. For example, it would be better for a doctor to underestimate a deadly condition and have you life your remaining time ignorantly (bliss) than for your doctor to overestimate an issue, give you too many pills and then you end up dying.

oh yeah
that's definitely an exception

imagine the overestimated cost of that minimal problem 8x
by Anonymous11 years ago
In some situations, yes, but the problem is when it comes to medication. If a doctor overestimates the dosage, it could lead to serious problems

Patient: I think I have the sniffles.
Doctor: CHEMO!!!!!
