+77 Kids: You wish you parents didn't say so many questionable/wrong things so they can't get mad at you for arguing, amirite?

I wish my mom was open to logic. Half the time when I would argue with her it wasn't because I was trying to get off the hook I just thought it didn't make sense and was either pointing out the flaws in her logic or asking for an explanation. I've decided to be a parent that is reasonable and fair but still consistent and taken seriously when it comes to punishment. Nothing pisses me off more than watching a parents go "You do that one more time I'm gonna put you in time out! This is your last warning Timmy before you go to time out. Timmy I told you to stop or I'd put you in timeout." Except for maybe parents that are like "5 minutes in time out Timmy." and Timmy says "No!" So the parents say "Ok 2 and a half minutes in time out." To which Timmy still disagrees so it's "OK Timmy but no dessert!

Never in my life have I ever agreed with anything more! This is EXACTLY how I feel. And whenever you point out flaws in her logic or ask for an explanation, you try to do it in a polite way but mist of the time she gets even more angry anyway? And I don't think this post has been featured *cough* YET *cough* but did you click my name from the jackass argument and look at my posts?

No, I'm just on amirite A LOT haha. It boarders on the obsessive >.> And yes, although sometimes it wasn't so polite, but then, neither was she and it's kind of hard to be polite when someone's yelling at you. Most of the time yes though.I dunno if she was mad cuz the "backtalk" or mad because a child was disproving her.
