It's annoying when they're deliberately trying to make it as offensive as possible to a specific audience.
If you tell a holocaust joke to a holocaust survivor who has no intentions of hearing it, you can go fuck yourself.
Yes, except everyone has a different perspective on what qualifies as a "serious issue."
And some people use humor to deal with grief.
I enjoy the fact that some people are willing to give up a bit of the respect they get from others in order to make a joke for the people who'll enjoy it.
It depends on whether there's a tragic aspect to it. 9/11 jokes are very insensitive, as are Holocaust jokes, but making fun of politics is perfectly fine.
Though I admit, I've laughed at my share of both.
"Life doesn't cease to be funny when people die anymore than it ceases to be serious when people laugh"
It's not exactly annoying. Some people just don't think things should be so serious. Unless the person is directing the joke at somebody specifically.
Joking can be a way of coping.
Also, unless it is directed at a specific person, people shouldn't be so offended.
