With exactly one grain?

I think she means on average.

I don't understand how you can disagree with this. Statistics show that when ice cream sales go up so do drive by shooting crimes. You could look at that and say "ice cream makes people engage in drive by shootings" or you take it with a grain of salt and look for all the other factors that could cause this. Like high temperatures causing people to feel more irate and more likely to do a drive by and high temperatures also causing people to want ice cream.

some think it's not important to take it with salt that's how they would disagree it could also be that some aren't familiar with the idiom

Well I assumed them not thinking it's important to take it with a grain of salt would probably be one of the factors for why they disagreed haha I guess my question was more how can you not think it's important to take it with a grain of salt?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

OHH wary I thought you were implying I made one of those posts where it's impossible to disagree hehe

I don't mean to sound like an idiot but what does "take it with a grain of salt" mean? Like, not to take it literally or something?
