The Big Bang Theory (no the show) comes to mind. It doesn't seem posible to have something come from nothing.

I've always wondered about that, it kind of hurts my head. I've also wondered about time. I mean, imagine if we could actually go back in time. Is there ever a point where time didn't exist?

Fun fact there is no such thing as empty space, literally, if you stare at an "empty" part of space something will show up, usually in the form of a particle, current, or what-have-you. The funny thing is that it is not a pre-existing object from another region of space it is literally created there for whatever reason, from energy. whether this is an aspect of the "fabric" of the universe or its a fallout of dark energy is not quite certain. Anyhow, its just funny that not even the universe seems to be fond of the idea of nothing.

The Big Bang Theory doesn't say the universe came from nothing and nothing suddenly exploded into something or anything like that. It says that all matter and energy was compressed into a very small area prior to our current universe existing and that all the matter and energy that exists now was in that dense ball of stuff then and that that dense ball outwardly expanded into our current universe.
