two different mentalities

@fuzala The democratic party now versus the democratic party centuries ago two different mentalities

The terms democrats and republican back then were basically switched from what they mean now.

@Frank_n_Furter The terms democrats and republican back then were basically switched from what they mean now.

That's only partly true. The only thing that has swapped is that the Republicans now favor smaller government, and the Democrats favor larger. The motivation behind has not changed much. The party switch was fast-tracked by [Democrat] President Roosevelt's "New Deal" in 1936 the beginning of Governmental social programs. Until then, the Republican party was more in favor of government expansion in economics and defense, which really hasn't changed.

THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE AS A POST!! THERE IS NOTHING TO AGREE OR DISAGREE OVER WITH THIS POST. THIS IS AN OPINION SITE, NOT A FACT SITE.
