We shouldn't be so stubborn in labeling someone as insert negative label. (racist, sexist, etc.) Perhaps we misinterpreted their words or intentions. Amirite?

What I mean by stubborn is to continue to think so after the first "reaction thought" based on ambiguous or maybe not-so-ambiguous things done or said by a particular person.

I think the word stubborn in the post
and my explanation:
"What I mean by stubborn is to continue to think so after the first 'reaction thought' based on ambiguous or maybe not-so-ambiguous things done or said by a particular person."

cover all that

first part:

not so ambiguous still falls under ambiguous
key word there is "so"

wearing KKK apparel doesn't leave much room for guessing

and again
the key word here is stubborn
shouldn't be so stubborn about it
(this is not about gut reactions)

like if you found out that the KKK apparel was for a play or something
and still were stubborn about labeling the people racist

if someone slips something in your drink
just don't drink it

that's the practical thing to do

and doesn't really deal with this post

"unreasonably stubborn"

there's no such thing as being "reasonably" stubborn because the word stubborn is defined using the word unreasonable
