where I'm from
the current goes out sometimes once an hour and sometimes more
especially when it's hot
(the outage can last anywhere from seconds to months)
that's because everyone in the area is using fans and taking up all the power at once
and it's a developing country
so you know how that goes
fixing these kind of problems is not in the "budget"
so I was on the second floor taking a shower
no one else was on that floor
it was night
and the current went out
AND GUESS WHAT?
the flashlight ran out of batteries too
of course I wasn't carrying a candle up the stairs
I've been afraid of the dark for years, and I don't know why. Something about not seeing anything scares me. I sleep with a night light, that's solar powered, so when the electricity goes out, it stays on.
I'm proud of myself for choosing a good night light that's eco friendly and helps me with my Achluophobia.
Ok so what if you are in the shower and just a you notice a spider in the corner the lights go out and there is a huge clap of thunder and a flash of lightening and you see the spider is gone and your mom screams...
I actually noticed a stink bug on the shower curtain right before the lights when out, and I started screaming because of the darkness and because of the fact I'm terrified of bugs, so I thought it would fly in my hair or something...
And there was thunder and lightning, too... It didn't help.
This happened to me the other day. It scared the hell out of me, I felt like soneone was next going to bust down the door and murder me.
Ugh, it happened yesterday and I felt the same way.
It also went out while I was peeing yesterday
Would it be bad if I laughed at that? Because I am... And I'm sorry.
I laughed at myself too, don't worry
hey, wait.. that's just a dream !

I had to get dressed and hightail it downstairs
this was years ago though
Ugh, that must've been terrible... I'm terrified of the dark, so even the thought of darkness sends me screaming.
we don't live there anymore
where I am now
current goes out less than once a year
it's a developed country
I'm okay with the dark
unless I watch a horror movie
then I need some time to adjust
