Not at all. Like fuzala's post states, we're a whole lot better than we were in the past. The world is not "going to hell in a hand basket".
I have come to an understanding that every action, good or bad, is just a part of the universe that I cannot control. Instead of becoming sadden by it, I accept it.

So you do accept the fact that millions die because of hunger while others die because of obesity. You simply accept the war in Syria, the global warming and the infinite corruption and injustice that is killing this planet. With a cold heart you simply ACCEPT IT?!!!

there's more to it than that
back in the day
there was hunger
and people were likelier to die of lack of food instead of obesity
there were wars back then
I don't see global warming as a problem
corruption, injustice, and killing are not new things
not accepting it with a cold heart
just admitting that it's a part of life to deal with
life is filled with tragedies
and obstacles
there is sadness to it
but there's also understanding that it's how it was meant to be
there's also a lot of blessings and happy stuff

Pretty much what she said with emphasis on "just admitting that it's a part of life to deal with". I'm simply not going to stress myself out and put myself in a depression over things I cannot control.

You sound like someone who gave up!!!

I don't give up
I acknowledge that it's a part of life
and I'll make the best of it
