0 If a tree falls in a forest does it make a sound. Yes, because the wildlife around it heard it. Also, if someone placed a video camera there and deserted it for a year then replayed the tape. It indeed makes a sound, amirite?

the tree falls and makes a sound even if nothing or no one heard even if there was no tape even if there was no wildlife around at least that's what I think

It still emits sound waves and stuff even if no one or thing is there to hear it.

I agree with what was already said. It still makes a sound, even if the sound wasn't heard. If the forest was absolutely empty of animals, it would still have made a sound. Even a piece of dust falling to the ground has to make some kind of noise when it touches the ground.

It may create vibrations/sound waves, but those do not become a sound until it is heard. It may also be a sound to the animals, but it isn't a sound to me because it was not heard by me. I personally cannot prove that there was a sound. If you recorded it and heard it a year later, it would be the video making the sound, not the tree. Although I suppose that could be used as evidence that the tree at one point did not make a sound. But like I said before, it is still not a valid sound because it was not received when it actually happened.

Not true. They are sound waves because they can be heard, not because they are heard.

Every tree ever fallen that was heard by humans made a sound. It would be irresponsible to not conclude that no sound is made.
