When the government federally mandates something that clearly does not work, people should be allowed to violate the mandate and return to common sense. Amirite?

Michelle Obama believed she knew best for all of America's schools and how children should eat. Her wishes and desires were put in to federal law, and it has been a huge disastrous flop. Children are throwing away more food now than ever before. Schools are burdened with how to handle all of the waste and added costs to deal with such.
And with all of our intelligence and wisdom in this country, we can't figure out how to take wasted food from schools and restaurants, and actually feed people in need! We would rather throw it away and see it wasted then put it to good use helping others.

No it is not OK to ignore a mandate. It is OK, smart, wise, and intelligent to work within the system to have it repealed. The Washington Post article talks about overhauling it, not ignoring it.

I did not say "ignore," I said violate. When corrupt leaders are passing asinine laws and mandates, law abiding citizens should at some point be able to say enough is enough. Within the system? How is that working out for any of us?
