SHOULD A SCHOOL BE ALLOWED TO CHARGE YOU FOR GRADUATING EARLY?

The School of Economics and Management in Essen, Germany is suing Marcell Pohl for graduating early. They claim that he owes for the 7 semesters he did not require to graduate.

If the school allowed him to take the additional course that allowed him to complete in amazing time, then I am concerned what claims they have. If they were not aware that he was taking a unheard of class load then they are poor administrators.

Since he met all requirements for graduation can they withhoild his certificate until he pays up for the seven semesters he did not use.
