if its impossible to avoid death, wouldnt you assume decay is the greatest influence on life/genetics?
for example: all organisms are inevitably decaying, ultimately leading to certain death of the organism. along the way of life we must decay to reach death. as we decay our bodies mutate from the environmental stresses. it mutates greater where greater decay is present. this forces a greater environment for mutation, invertiedly forcesing a higher possiblility to evolve "correctly" to better suit the organisms environmental stressors. in all aspects (im my eyes anyway) we can only be what weve experienced in our environment.
