Should people who sign a Do Not Resuscitate option be given lower insurance premiums?
End of life issues cripple our health care system. With modern technology we can extend life far beyond the end of high quality living e.g. we can maintain an individual in a coma for years---at a great expense to society. It drives up health care costs for everyone.
A rigorously enforced DNR would greatly reduce health care costs. So would making DNR the default option i.e. unless you specifically opt out of DNR, perhaps like organ donation, then they are the default options.
