What is beyond the edge of our expanding universe?
I think the existence of a multiverse and the big bang not being unique is a very likely scenario. However by the laws of probability uniqueness is one of the outcomes so who knows.
What I find tricky to grapple with is the concept of infinity... Where logical thoughts run aground is in thinking what is our universe expanding into? Nothingness has an intangible feeling to it!! And yet a finite limit to our universe as it expands beckons the question what is beyond the edge? More nothingness?
Accepting the concept of infinity is difficult because everything we can observe in nature and around us has a start and an end. However applying an end in this case just raises the question again what is beyond that?
