Why is humour needed even when sometimes, inappropriate and in the face of adversity?
There have been jokes and one liners circulated after the Japanese earthquake, there were constant jokes about World War one and two and there is always humour which follows difficult things. Is this the way in which people in part, deal with loss and tragedy? Is it acceptable so close on the heels of Japan? Should we be chastised for ethnic jokes about Irish or Black people? Is it not healthy to be able to laugh at ourselves once in a while?
