+9 We can't really "walk in another man's shoes" if we don't wear his shoe size. Amirite?

I tried wearing my brother's shoes once. Both of my feet fit in one of his.

Many of us don't have the courage to live a life on the street. Being homeless, living off government handouts, surviving hand to mouth, existing in a drug addled state takes the kind of courage that many do not possess. Those shoes do not fit everyone. I have tried both, and for me having a job, owning a home, having money in the bank is a much easier lifestyle. I don't have the courage to go back to the streets. It is a scary lifestyle and certainly not for the faint of heart. I get that some people have never tried on street "shoes", and so cannot appreciate the strength it takes to wear them. For others, those shoes just "don't fit" because they are too well supported by their family upbringing. Others put on those shoes and do not survive. Interesting post.
