Your birthday is the most important day of the year, amirite?
by Anonymous9 years ago
no
I don't think birthdays mean much
they help keep track of my age
but then there's a lunar age
where years are calculated differently
I like lunar age better
my lunar age is greater because I think the years are a bit shorter

Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer lunar age?
by Anonymous10 years ago
I'm older for lunar age
that's kinda nice
also
the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar I think
it's just easier to stick to one calendar
then again
it's nice actively using both the Gregorian and that one

Other people's birthday's are much more important to me than my birthday. I don't really think there is //any// day that is the most important to me though.

No and yes. Yes because of all the presents you get. No because it's a count down till you die
by Anonymous10 years ago
if it was a countdown
wouldn't you start with a larger number going down to a smaller number (count__down__)?
and don't countdowns require that we know the ending?
since we don't know our expiration date...we don't know the ending number
by Anonymous10 years ago
Actually, all countdowns go to zero. We know that we die when we have zero milliseconds left to live. We know what the end of the countdown is.... We just don't know when we'll hit the end.

But, for one to have a countdown, we'd need to count backwards from a number. We don't know that number (the age when you die), so yeah a countdown wouldn't work

Birthdays are utterly unimportant to me. Just some tradition I don't care about
