I lost my trust in the world when I realized that the tooth fairy wasn't real. It scarred me for life.

trusting makes you more vulnerable, I guess that's the post's point. so being able to trust anyway demands courage. and courage is a strength. but the thing is, trusting has many advantages that outnumber the drawbacks manyfold if you learn to trust the right people. those make you a better person I think. it would be useless to trust, otherwise.

It takes strength to trust in people. Too easily someone can rely dokey on themselves and trust no one. Knowing who to trust and putting your faith in them, takes strength
