What truth? The genesis creation has been disproven, there's no evidence of a global flood, no evidence of the Israelites in Egypt or the surrounding desert for 40 years, no real evidence of the existence of Jesus let alone the divinity of Jesus, and any morality taught by jesus was taught hundreds of years before him by Buddha and Confusius, so I see no truth behind the bibles claims.
The entire bible is nothing but a rehash of earlier myths, the message conveyed in the bible is nothing but common sense and didn't need all of those absurd stories to make the point..
It is a book written by men who can be fallable to their own personal paradigms in life which within itself negates facts and makes them opinions. Some of it is accurate and some of it is not.
I don't believe something is true just because it claims to be. Otherwise the following is true: Elephants invented the internet, Alexander the Great was a famous basketball player, and President Bobby Fenton Invented the moon
Saw a crime program the other n where this Muslim Idiot ran his daughter over w his car and killed her because he didn't approve her boy friend.. When they arrested him he pled not guilty for religious reason.. it was an honor killing...
not very accurate though.. dates and times that people were there are wrong, towns mentioned that hadn't been built yet.. people existing with no history of their existence.. Yep great history..
The bibull says that this Jesus was from Nazareth.. well Nazareth wasn't built until around the late 2nd century... And there is plenty of evidence of people that were around 2000 years ago.. of course history is written in a lot more books , but not the bible.. you need to get out of the bible and study REAL history, not from a fantasy book..
Indians were here in America long before America was built... Like I said before "99% of the worlds people 2000 years ago have no history of ever existing."
I've never read a fantasy book. I prefer nonfiction.
then get you nose out of that fictional book called the bible.. You didn't answer the question,, how could your Jebus com from Nazareth before it was built??? I know you keep giving lip service and no answers.. I know you can pull something out of your ass..because that seems to be where your brains are..
Yeah, that's why they made up this god idea so they could use that to be able to explain things that they couldn't understand with the level of science and human existential experience of their time. But when I see things that I can't explain, I just say "I don't know yet, but we will know someday, after our scientific knowledge progresses far enough" instead of using a mythical imaginary god for an explanation.
You have to think about this. If you are a Christian, you have to know that God, Jesus, whoever didn't write the bible. It was written a long time after Jesus was around by regular people, regular people who just like us have their own beliefs, agendas, etc. To read the bible and believe that every bit of it is 100% truth would not only be foolish, but also incorrect. Not to mention the countless times it has been translated and re-translated by other people with their own beliefs, agendas, etc...
Apparently we are all God's children, according to Abrahamic beliefs. Apparently we are supposed to seek out the truth of such things. I have done so and not gotten the same answers. The only response I've gotten from one of the Abrahamic faiths is "you're not doing it right." LOL
For finding my car Keys.... For helping me make that touchdown...for letting me starve to death..
Your god or any other god ha ever done a damn thing for me.. An if you believe a god to be real, then you have a serious mental problem.

The Bible says, "An eye for an eye." The Bible says, "Turn the other cheek." Reconcile the difference between these two statements of "truth".
john 1:18 no one has seen the face of god.
genesis 18:1-2 i have seen the face of god.
I have a short list, around 500 biblical contradictions....there is said to be thousands..
well seeing as its been translated across languages afew times its a wonder anything in it makes sense.
I don't believe something is true just because it claims to be. Otherwise the following is true: Elephants invented the internet, Alexander the Great was a famous basketball player, and President Bobby Fenton Invented the moon
There is around 5% truth in actual people, and locations in the bible,, there has to be, in order to try to make the 95% BS stories
credible///
Because they are afraid if they don't they will burn in Hell,,LMAO What sane person would want a god that threatens them ??
Saw a crime program the other n where this Muslim Idiot ran his daughter over w his car and killed her because he didn't approve her boy friend.. When they arrested him he pled not guilty for religious reason.. it was an honor killing...
Agreed
r u a fundie?
What is a "Hole" religion???LMAO
If anything it's a great book of History.
not very accurate though.. dates and times that people were there are wrong, towns mentioned that hadn't been built yet.. people existing with no history of their existence.. Yep great history..
What dates and times were wrong? What towns are mentioned that hadn't been built yet?
I bet that 99% of the worlds people 2000 years ago have no history of ever existing.

I like the story of how cattle got spotted and striped .. anyone that believes it needs to see a shrink..
Mmm hmm.
I still can't wrap my brain around the talking snake story or the yarn about the guy who rode around inside the whale.

Says who? God? God never told me that.

The book is full of pure fantasy.
If you believe that, okay. I see no evidence of that claim though.
Agreed, 100%.
