Everything had a beginning amirite? The universe is not eternal, God created it. Who created God? Nothing. Hmmmm

"Every thing has a cause or creator" well what caused or created the creator? Nothing it was Just there....MAO

Agree but not with the definition of nothing you're using. The gravitational potential energy of a gravitational field is a negative energy. When all the gravitational potential energy is added to all the other energy in the universe, it equals zero.

how is it negative

It was not created, so yes.

As an atheist, my theory is so far out there that it's almost ridiculous. I'll stick to the universe though and my only theory is that the universe has always existed, period. It will never end and has no beginning. That's a concept which is hard to understand because us humans look at everything as having a beginning and an end because, well, we ourselves have a beginning and an end. As for other atheists, unless they're scientists, they just believe what they're told by scientists.

all those who "disagree" oh so you atheists do believe somethign created earth? so what was it? if there is no tGod, then at one point there was NOTHING, so explain ho wnothing created something

I am a Christian, but I don't pray every night. I agree with you. I always tell Atheists that nothing can come from nothing, and then they come up with some sort of a stupid excuse or comeback. Lol

"Nothing" is, by definition nothing. It can do nothing and nothing can come from it. Science does not claim that everything sprang into being from a state of "nothingness". It is simply not known at this time.

To my mediocre mind, it seems that every explanation of the creation of the universe requires me to believe in something that sounds preposterous, and I assume that means it's above my ability to comprehend. Either the universe came from nothing, it came from something that existed before this universe, or it was created by a Creator. At the end of the day it's the same dilemma. What came before that, or how could that have existed forever?
