It's hard to say. I think there are lots of good people, and lots of bad people. But what makes a "bad" person? Or a "good" person?
Very true Dami. 乂°‿°乂
I know what you mean. Like every time you switch the news on it's about some dodgy politicians or some tribal guys running about with rocket launchers in the Middle East. 乂ᵒ_ᵒ乂
They need to balance the news more with stories of cats being rescued from trees by firemen and stuff like that haha. 乂^◡^乂
Good to see ya about Tranquesta. 乂°‿°乂
Very true, good news is bad news to the media.......and political spin doctors
Call me silly, but I actually believe there is good in all people. Finding that good is sometimes more difficult than others.
There are good people out there but there is also bad people waiting to just run all over the good people to the point they just send them over the edge. Good people have their limits too.
Good and bad are relative terms.
I am honoured to know several who work tirelessly for charity
I think most people have a lot of good in them. Call me naive, but I think it's there...we all have bad moments.
I want to think good is not gone in people
its kinda a mix amd a hero one day could be a villian the next
I believe most people are inherently good. That said, evil should never be denied or dismissed as being in the realm of possibility.
The world may never know. xD
Because the media and the fear mongers would have us hear only the bad news, to whip up fear and dissension.
I'm not convinced scientifically there is such a thing as good or evil.
Everyone is good and bad. Some are worse than others: Hitler and Stalin. Some are better than others: Jesus and Ghandi.
There is no such thing as bad people
Just out of curiosity.... where does the Boston Bomber, Holmes, Bin Laden, Manson, the Charlotte Churcher killer, etc fall? Good or Bad?
Then there are good people and bad people. There are a lot of good people who do go about their daily lives trying to take care of their families and not be a burden on anyone. Then there are the people like the ones I mentioned and let's throw Bernie Madoff into the bad category. Any excuses for him?
The problem with bad people who have committed heinous crimes is there is no will to judge them and remove them from society, permanently if necessary.
We are losing the good, hardworking, everyday people to the ones that excuses and justifications allow them back into society. Are there more good people than bad? Right now maybe but we are losing the battle on this one.
I imagine they each had good qualities but what they did turned many against them.
You may be right, they may have had some good qualities but that doesn't excuse the mayhem they heaped on innocent people. Ted Bundy was an extremely likable guy which is why he managed to get away with slaughtering up to 100 innocent young girls before he was finally put down. One guy takes out that many good people. Do you think the good people might be losing?
Possibly... But there are many good deeds being done daily. The news is just a bunch of negative information anyway.. Because most people want to hear the bad news first. If there were more positive news stories, then it would make it seem as if the world wasn't all bad.
Bad is a perspective
so is good
To label someone as "good" or "bad"
i would have to judge them
I would have to know them
their thought processes
and I cannot do that
I can never know what another person is thinking
I can guess that they believe they are "helping" others
Who am I to judge these people?
Who am I to label others good or bad?
I seek only to learn from my mistakes
and to make others feel welcome
If their is a true god, she will
determine if Bin Laden, or Manson was her
servant as they claimed to be
I do not know god's mind
nor do I know his purpose for
allowing the Boston Bombing
or the Dark Knight Massacre
Have you ever lost someone to the evils of others?
Because I do not believe in evil I would
have to say "no". I have seen my share of
misfortune and tragedy
I forgive those who cause me harm
I do not believe people can be evil
or have evil intent
to them it is "good" intent, but what can we do?
You might want to tell that to the Byrd family in Texas or the Christian/Newsom families in Tennessee. The pain some really bad people caused them is horrendous. Are there more good people than bad? right now, maybe, but we are losing good people at an alarming rate because there is no will to judge and take appropriate action.
Yes, pretty much what I said.
Sorry, I may have given you too much credit. Lead by example, to be sure, but why would we need judges if no one is to be judged? The reality is that there are bad people who destroy others in particular and society in general. Do you really want to live in a society that includes Bin Laden or Hitler? I truly do not understand the mentality that coddles bad people at the expense of people who just want to live their lives
Because this has been my observation
Only God knows the answer
