it greatly depends on how tall you are. and personally, i think tight jeans look better on curvy people.

Fashion magazines have actually suggest skinny jeans look great on curvy women because it helps to balance them out and accentuate their figures.

Although it all depends on how tall the person is. I think what the poster is trying to say is skin tight jeans that will cause you to have "muffin top" (where extra skin and fat hangs over the top of the jeans) should have a weight limit. They're not specifically saying skinny jeans.
