Well, if any of them outright kill you, you have nothing to worry about. But let's say your drinking and/or smoking cause a stroke and you're incapacitated, but still alive? It's all a matter of perspective.
That it is. I just pray I stay cognizant when the time comes.
Well, you have to try and do something to help yourself, too.
Meh.. I'll attempt not to be a nuessance in all areas where I don't want to be. :)
Outstanding! Give Dad a hug from a fellow 'believer' at Christmas! And to you for your gracious understanding of that wonderful man.
Quit smoking just recently, but only because it has given me copd. But it wasnt that i wanted to. Quit eating processed food cuz it is full of crap nowadays. But.....i still love good food,
Still a bit too young to do that DW2... But anyway!
Live more responsibly.
IF a human has a sensible existence.. as in, they can remain sane and not cause unnecessary harm to others..
IF a human has a strength filled life.. as in, they can remain helpful without taking drugs their entire life to keep their body powered...
IF a human has these things.... THEN.. that human can use them to make the world better...
YOU are a human.. you have @DW2 you are a HUMAN
YOU just posted a message online.. you have a sensible existence.. and can remain sane for long enough to think about and smoke a cigarette.. and long enough to post your thoughts online
YOU have strength.. though it's deteriorating slowly each time you take a puff..
YOU are responsible for us.. not just you, being human is an us thing.. if more cop out then how do we help each other strive? Who makes the world better if they don't have time to do it?? Your TIME is yours.. but you belong to us.. each cig steals from us..
That'll never happen to me.
I did not quit smoking for any health related reason. I only refused to pay the tax enacted by that a@@hole Obama. I couldn't find any way to get smokes without paying the tax, and I tried, so I have not smokes since then.
As for health, I have some conditions that I know will eventually kill me. I have decided not to get treatment. I know lots of people who went from one doctor's appointment to another, growing more miserable with every trip. I choose not to do that. I will die with dignity, and my brother will find my carcass when he brings my mail. No cancer treatments, no whittling on my prostate, no plastic gewgaws to hold my arteries open for a few more months.
I think drug dealers serve one good purpose - putting the stuff in mental hospital drugs inside the drugs they sell and attacking believers in mental hospitals right back.
