Chile Relleno Casserole with all the fixin's
Wow, Jean!! What an interesting dish. I'm imagining how wonderful a relleno must taste in a casserole. It sounds divine
My family loves it.
I called you "Jean" not Jan. I'm sorry
No worries .... just a little walk down Sodahead memory lane.
I think you're correct. I must have been thinking about Sister Jean. You were a regular in her posts.
We are still close friends
Nice, P! Very nice! Fish is my favorite, also.
OMG-- England, here I come
Panhandle spaghetti. And I'm not telling you what's in it! :)
Sounds interesting. Is that a legit dish? Panhandle spaghetti?
Yes it's legit. It's an old family recipe. And it's yummy!
What does that mean...panhandle...
It doesn't mean anything. It's just a name.
I'm not as cultured as the others here, so we'll just start off with a beer because it's hump day...
Then I'll get the neighbour over to fire up the barbeque...
.. then I hope you like sausages :)
I'm down with some good Aussie ale, Oz and the sausages sound quite excellent, also.
Great! it sounds like a relaxing afternoon. Barbeques are very popular here, I guess because of the warm weather. Many people choose to put in elaborate barbeque's and do much of their cooking outside rather than inside.
So... You are the only one over, riight?
We'll start with a maritini...or beer or wine...whichever you choose... I don't coral my guests in by making them drink my fab Cosmopolitan...
Along with that would be an app... Okay..it's a bit 90s but I love it ...Bruschetta...toasted and melted just right...
Main? That would be another blast from the past...Duck a l'orange...crispy and toasty...with a bit of a sear...oozing with flavour... With sides of asparagus...and fingerling potatoes...
Since we''re in the 90s we might as well stay there for dessert...: how about Tiramisu...with some Baileys...
Of course we've had white wine or beer throught the meal...with baileys (& coffee) to enhance the desert... Followed by shots of...er...ahem...what would you like shots of...?
Most of this would be home made. I've even made my own Baileys...:(
The Duck is to Die for... If ppl are vegetarian...I usually have some Vegetarian Lasagne...this is excellent...most ppl prefer it over the meat lasagne.
I just died and went to Heaven (aka Sukie's house)
Shots? I would probably want shots of Grand Marnier
Hey! We'd have fun...lol...
Shots of GM comin up!
Three points? Is that ALL I get.
That's it. I QUIT.
Get your own chef. :)
ROFLMAO--- ya cheat!!
Fine-- I want Italian and make it lasagna, please :)
I'm a great traditional cook, so if you come by, I'll surprise you.
Works for me, Starz
First a spinach salad with warm bacon dressing, then a tariakki grouper from the grill, with roasted asparagas and jasimine rice
Huh.. depends on the person. Most I'd go simple. Lasagna, Peroski, Camorones ala diabla. Though I just might pull out my hat and cook Chinese. I make a Generals chicken that isn't messing around. I make some killer sweet, hot pork rolls as well. Or could Jamaican. I'll put my jerk chicken up against anybody. All depends on the person. :)
