My take on Rex Tillerson for Secretary of State: Honestly I can't think of anybody better. Having made deals with and knowing the leaders of over fifty countries.. yup. Having a guy already in the room is a good thing. Yes the Putin regime in Russia likes the guy.. should this really be considered a bad thing? If you listen to people like John McCain.. Showing any form of kindness to Russia is like making a deal with the Devil. He is partly right. Putin is ex KGB and does miss the glory days of the USSR. So be it. That being said I'd like to throw out a hypothetical on WW3. As far as I'm concerned China is far scarier than Russia. The two of them combined would likely win. The thing is the Russian/ Chinese friendship is far from stable. Giving Russia at least a little interest in keeping America on the board may be a good thing. Am I wrong?
