Hard to believe, but I've never played a video game.
I played them in the 80's, but eventually lost interest.
No. I tried them years ago. And then again more recently to see how they had changed. There better graphics I suppose, but what a supreme waste of time.
I've tried to get interested in them... I like doing a few mind games...some solitaire..and a couple of others...
mainly nintendo stuff.
Yes though I'm mostly old school. I love Super Metroid. Been playing it a long time. Still not convinced that I have found everything. :)
I love the role playing games with intricate story lines and great character development.
They have come so far, even in the last few years. Once they were basically mindless arcade-style games where you'd just shoot monsters for points.
But imagine a game that's more like cross between a movie but with even more detail than the original novel... with mysteries, twists, decisions, amazing characters that you can change and affect, situations that you make decisions in that you can learn from, voice overs from mainstream actors, amazing music soundtrack and beautiful scenery and high quality animations. It often makes it difficult to go back to regular movies after this.
I've always thought the end all game would be called "reincarnation". You live as a base animal or plant to start with. "A fly.. a blade of grass". The decisions you make determine whether you move up or down the chain. It would take a team of hundreds constantly upload new material. It would be fun to see what animal people end up as. The "human" factor would be the toughest. Wonder how many in the game would commit suicide just to be something else. :)
I like the idea! There was a game called Spore years ago where you started out as bacteria then evolved into a higher life form depending on choices etc
I played that one. :)
