A very smart woman.
Sometimes people must be talked about.
Small minds should occasionally take the likes of Hitler, Mussolini, General Mao, Pol Pot, or Fidel Castro into context.
Like Trump with his personal insults
I used to think like that, but everyone discuss people, one way or another. A family member, a friend, someone you saw on the news that did something, good or bad... and imagine if you're a psychologist? They are not supposed to have small minds, and their job is pretty much talk with people about their lives or part of it, which normally involves other people.
She meant gossip for what I can see, but discussing people is more than gossiping. Did the word Gossip exist in her time?
Yes, the word gossip did exist, but it wouldn't have been as thought provoking if she used it. :)
So she spent lots of time discussing the weather...making boring convo...
How about you say: I heard Eleanor is still in the hospital... Have you seen her... Let's get together and visit her...etc...
Is that still a small mind?
Just a little history about Eleanor: By the 1920s, Roosevelt, who raised five children, was involved in Democratic Party politics and numerous social reform organizations. In the White House, she was one of the most active first ladies in history and worked for political, racial and social justice. After President Roosevelt’s death, Eleanor was a delegate to the United Nations and continued to serve as an advocate for a wide range of human rights issues. She remained active in Democratic causes and was a prolific writer until her death at age 78.
I'm not sure about her weather forecasting. :)
She must have been an amazing person. I still find a few of her quotes very inspirational..
She wss one of those special people that tries to make the world better. I have never been a Democrat but I would be if Democrats were like her. Unfortunately they are not even close these days.
I'm glad I was guessing right. Oh man...I didn't even see the pic associated with post up till now...!!! Believe it. ;)
It's a better post having people guess...
Poor El. Having to put up with Teddy obviously made her a stronger person. (Yeah yeah...I know, I know. But still.)
Teddy was her uncle. FDR was the one she had to put up with. American history for Canucks. Ha Ha Ha!!
Thanks hon... Ha ha ha!!
You can correct me anytime since I know it's done with kindness.
"Let's go there." is an idea.
Everyone people even you who agree that small minds discuss people are doing it, ironic.
