Cancer. Hunger is something that can be readily fixed with proper food distribution, but cancer is not something that one can control getting or surviving.
I'd like to see a cure for cancer. We already know what the cure for hunger is.
I wonder if the UN has ever done a study of how many lives lost to starvation could have been saved if the corruption along the way could have been eliminated.
Of course they don't care.
In many cases, the purpose of UN reps is to get as much money as possible for their corrupt bosses back home.
World hunger is not a disease. It is the result of having more kids than you, or your society can feed. Stop having kids that you can't feed, and your hunger problem goes away. People in the US, have less kids with each generation because they can't support a lot of kids, but immigrant's both legal and illegal who come here to "escape hunger and over population", come here and breed like rats.
This is not a constructive comment.
What is "constructive"? Something you agree with?
Reality isn't something everyone is ready to hear about.
"Constructive", I suspect, means politically correct in the present context.
Hunger is a political situation. The only cure is to abolish central governments. So there is only one possible choice to the question.
World Hunger is both an economic as well as government situation. What would happen if you abolished central governments? More famine and more control over people, which would end up with people having fewer rights. There were 1.7 billion people in the world in 1900. 100 years later, there are 7.4 billion. Do you think the planet can sustain 50 billion in a hundred years? There isn't hardly enough pure water to sustain the population of today. How long before California is just one big city? No land to grow food, and they already don't have enough water to support their population and farming.
The cure for World Hunger isn't a mystery. If the entire world decided to do something about world hunger, something already would have happened. There's ways, but not everyone cares enough to do something.
It's about 8 million deaths per year worldwide for cancer, and about the same for deaths by starvation.
(the second link gives 21,000 starvation deaths per day, which works out to about 7.7 million per year)
Yup this is one of those questions that could get me in all kinds of trouble. :)
Cancer affects a small portion of our world, hunger affects everyone
I just cannot make a choice.! It's impossible.....
Hunger. Giving that ability.means i can bypass the corruption and reach people in need.
Food produces energy in people. They would become productive and make better lives.
Hell, maybe someone who was saved would come up with a cure for cancer
I seen too many people suffer from Cancer.I kicked it twice and I also seen my brother
suffer from lung cancer for months.I would love to see a cure.
