I met a great horned owl once in a house that i worked in. He was in a basement aviary.
The homeowners took in wounded birds to rehabilitate.

This owl was a permanant resident as he could not fly(i dont recall why).
That damned bird mesmerized me. I would go to its perch and we would just gaze at each other. We all now how they rotate their heads, but when i saw it up close, it was incredible.

I would have loved to touch it, but was told that he may enjoy my face. Sooo, no stroking of its feathers......

That's like seeing a cat without fur...awwww...sad. People without clothes...awwww...even worse....ha.
