I'm not talking about marriage. I'm speaking of you living in a place with a complete stranger.
I have 3 roommates. I've become friends with two of them and we live comfortably with each other. The other one....
Love it :D
No, never have.
I'm not sure if I say sorry for you or congratulations for him...
After living with three sisters in in the same room, when I moved out of my parents' house, I had no desire to have anyone living with me.
Having a room mate and living with strangers are two different things IMO. I would not live with a stranger. I've had room mates however - people I knew beforehand.
Actually, knowing them beforehand or not doesn't has any effect in being a roommate or not. I asked for a specific (not knowing them) because that would be the same as me.
I'm sorry. Your explanation said - " I'm speaking of you living in a place with a complete stranger." That's what through me off track.
Had roommates when I was enlisted in the Army in the 70's. Ended up with the strongest friendships in my life. Had a roommate in college. Couldn't wait to git rid of him.
I had one when I was in my early 20's for about two years. It was okay, but I was happy to be able get my own place after that. (Sorry, I just noticed you specified "complete stranger" .... I would never do that. My roommate was a friend from work.)
Lol, no problem. I was just curious if there was someone else here who had done the same and how was their experience.
My brother & even though I love him, I just can't do that again.
Just my husband after we were married. lol
I can't live with some random person, it has to be a good friend of mine, sadly none of my good friends are comfortable with paying for rent and rather stay in cheaper university dorms.
Psycho roommate. Though never boring. :)
