I don't like carpet, it's the hardest thing to keep clean..
When i did flooring and would change or take out carpet..
People would be surprised at the dirt, sand etc. that would be trapped under the carpet and padding..
The best vacuum cleaner in the world, wont get all the dirt out..
If you have any kind of allergies or sinus problems, it's the worse thing to have..
Yeah I've wet cleaned carpets using industrial spray cleaners and vacum units. The water you pull back out of carpets is just black with filth. 乂ᵒ _ᵒ乂
Makes you lose your appetite
And like you say there will still be levels of dirt trapped too far under the carpet to be lifted out by those, so yes it was certainly an eye opener.乂ᵒ _ᵒ乂
I have carpet in the master bathroom, and it's wonderful. Have never had any problems at all.
I grew up with wall to wall carpeting. It's only unhygienic if you can't learn to not pee on the floor.
By the time we moved into town and had the carpeting, we were all teens and had no dogs or cats in town. I can see the challenge for young kids and animals though.
There are always, always dust mites and their faeces...unless you steam clean the whole place every 3 months.
Just because you don't see the dust mites and their faeces, doesn't mean they aren't there.
But carpet in the bathroom? Sacrilege! It's always wet and damp and can easily grow fungus. Get heated floors instead.
When people get rid of their carpets...they notice they can breathe easier.
I got rid of all my carpet recently and I miss walking around in bare feet, tho. Instead, now, I wear Addias Flip flops...they are about 1/2 inch thick and act as a shock absorber.
Any bets that you find the same thing is a home with zero carpets?
You're so clever.
Not as many and they are easier to get rid of...
LOL Maybe we should start naming them, or claim them as dependents on our taxes.
My dustballs along with your dust mites? They could get married.
I'll grant you full custody.
Who doesn't love stepping onto the piss mat barefoot?
Lots of people do it and it's disgusting.
And those little bath mats that fit around the toilet? Eeeeew!
Oh I prefer hardwood floors everywhere. I like sliding across the floor
I don't understand why anyone would have carpet in the bathroom.
I guess some people cant let go the decoration
I have an out house not far from my back door that it probably a whole lot cleaner than than most rich individuals poop in...
