I also keep several 24-hour candles in the house and a lantern.
Yep. After growing up on a remote farm, you know the importance of light when the power goes out.
I'm a City Mouse, but we've had three major blackouts here over the years and I don't want to stub my toe!
Sometimes, growing up, we'd be without electricity for a week. Nothing like pumping water from the well using the hand pump in the yard and using kerosene lanterns at night..... (Wouldn't mind going back to that sometimes.)
Fortunately, we may have lost power, but not water. :)
Smoke alarm, fire extinguishers.
Sad to say, a computer.
Oh let me see a toilet a bed a microwave a stove and a sink and a way to make coffee is all I really need to survive.
