I keep hearing great things about Wilmington.
Next time I'm there I'll look for it.
Tokyo ('94 - '97)
I'm envious. I would love to someday go to Tokyo.. before they have the "big one".
It's very nice. Extremely crowded, but you hardly notice because everyone's so polite.
Riding the trains during rush hour is an interesting experience too. Just like in this pic, the platform conductors actually push & stuff you into the trains with a long pole! Good times.
So they really do that??
Yes. They're not rough, but definitely effective. I remember laughing out loud during this once, mostly because my chest was compressed and that causes me to laugh for some reason.
Cue the Randy Newman music..
Actually nope there sure ain't
I guess if I had to say a city, it would be Chicago, Il. My wife and I had a magical time time there once.
I'm much more fond of the scenic places though, like driving Highway 1 between LA and San Fran. Or the Badlands.
I think part of my heart is still in the area where I grew up, but it's has changed so much, I think the special part of it is only in my heart and my memories because it looks so different than what I experienced based on google maps.
My mom wasn't excited to visit Holland since it changed so much after the war...it wasn't recognizable to her.
Some places stay better in your mind, as you said.
Was she raised in Holland? Or lived there or just visit it?
Yes...she grew up there.
That's cool :)
Yes. Two actually - Jerusalem and Florence.
Can't think of one.
LA. My future home! There is no other city I can stand living in
Have you been out there? You might prefer San Fran.
Some place from the Chronicles of Narnia?
Hey. Well, if you'd been to Kauai...you and I would have something in common. :)
Yes. This really cool city near Florence, Alabama!
Which is...: A secret? Please...l'd love to know.
Frisco is nice but not worth the price.
With all its faults, I'll take L.A.
Many. Paris, Munich, Winnipeg, Vegas
At a club in OKINAWA...with a very pretty dancer..left my heart and most of my cash with her
I hear Sedona is amazing... And full of New Agers...
