Same here...Thanks for your answer.
You're welcome, and thank you for acknowledging all our replies, some people never do.
I try to acknowledge all replies to my questions...I think it's polite to do so.
I agree, and I do as well, but there are some that never acknowledge a reply.
No. I want to.
I'll pick you up at 8...Thanks, Sofia.
It was a fun and I miss it. We no longer have them near my home.
The ones round here show recent releases, but the audio is terrible...Thanks, Tiffanee.
They were great fun. A bunch of us would go and sit in the back of a pick up to watch whatever was on.
Were drive-in theaters ever anything besides a novelty?
Novelty, perhaps, but two are still thriving here...Thanks, PhilboydStudge.
Oh I have & I miss them greatly
You are most welcome
It was a drive-in theater, in a way, but there was a building we had to watch the movie from. The movie screen was outside with all the vehicles and things. It was weird.
Lol...I watched the first Star Wars movie while sitting on my uncle's (his property adjoined a drive in theater) back porch.
That is funny
No and i doubt i would enjoy that.
They were fun when I was a child, but now, not so much...Thanks, Skunky.
"Years later, as a curiosity, I went to a drive in in Texas which showed ****."...Lol, so did I...Thanks, trooper.
We used to go all the time! We'd bring the pups with us - they loved it! They got hot dogs and burgers and spend time with Mom and Dad.
I was sad when our last drive in closed.
Thanks for your answer.
So did I...Thanks, DW2.
Yes, but they are all called flea markets now.
One closed here, it's now an auto auction...Thanks, SmartAZ.
nope, i was born a bit too late. 90+% of them no longer exist.
"90+% of them no longer exist."
It's a shame because drive-ins were an American Icon...Thanks, Trish.
That was when a person was known by the car he drove. White sidewall tires cost extra then, and a big question of the day was: "If you can only afford to buy two WSW tires, do you put them on the left or the right side of the car?" Yes, people worried about things like that.
Yes; happy memories of the few I attended, the last of which was many years ago...
"do they even haven them any more"
Yes, where I live, there are three within a 15 mile drive.
Shame...Big pharma is taking over.
When I lived in L.I. we used to go often.
