Do you think Trump went too far with his twitters?
From Trump's actions the last months, I'm beginning to think he does have a mental problem. Seriously. Of all the things he has to do being a president, he is still upset over Hillary winning the popular vote. She beat him by about 3 million votes so now he's saying those votes were illegal.
A NOTE TO DONALD TRUMP; Mr. President you won, you are now the President of the United States, act like it. It's time to put your petty grievances aside, grow up and do what you promised the American people.
We all lost, big time. We now have an incompetent president who will destroy America.
I don't get how the establishment passes its self off as anti-establishment. Seems to work though.
"onald Trump has been on Twitter again this morning, this time in reaction to an admonishment made on Sunday by outgoing CIA director John Brennan criticising the president-elect for comparing the US intelligence community with Nazi Germany and urging him to rein in “talking and tweeting” that could impact on national security. Trump responded by slamming the credibility of US intelligence on key national security issues and attacking Brennan personally. “Was this the leaker of Fake News?” Trump tweeted."
Yes, I think Trump went too far. What is the point of these actions? Interesting if nothing else.
Yep, he has just cut out the middlemen.
His comments are not just being heard by us. They are heard by everyone.
Being used to discredit our system.
He is a clown, and others see him as such. His words and actions will be great for propoganda.
Cut out the middleman, could you elaborate please?
Big business has always been behind the lobbys. And the government uses the lobbys for campaign funding. Large corperations have been the main influence behind policies and lawmakers in all levels of government for a very long time.now the big money, or at least alot of it, is working directly out of the capital
No they didn't. It's a known fact that the room will only hold about 50 people. It is a somber room, stars showing how many lost their lives, instead Trump disrespected it.... He does not know how to show respect to any living person and now, not even those who have died for our country. Shame on him.
That's a blatant lie.
Not at all, I think it was a very insightful and prescient comparison. Intelligence services exist to provide timely and accurate information to the government, not to interfere in politics. Using that power for political purposes has been a hallmark of tyrannical governments throughout history, it is incredibly dangerous and deserves to be called out in the strongest possible terms. It's one thing to leak the truth, but that's not what happened, they gave credence to a report that was provably false for the sake of politics. Dirty, dangerous, shockingly irresponsible.
Which report would that be Maze?
That peeing and prostitutes nonsense.
Link please, this is news to me.
Hmmm, I am getting two different stories here. As for politics, the date is Jan 12 2017 meaning this was after the election. Compare this to what happened with Hillary and Comey right before the election.
Clinton herself acknowledged the fact that she had private servers while serving as Secretary of State. She routinely violated information handling protocols, putting intelligence and lives at risk. As FBI director, that was Comey's business, and he let her off really light, barely a reprimand, just a public acknowledgement of the "known facts" to cool down the rumor mill.
The report about trump seems to have been fabricated, badly, it misspelled the name of Russia's largest bank, makes me wonder if the author has ever been to Russia. Part of the tale involved an associate of Trump, Cohen I believe, traveling in Europe. Trump's like "come to my office, and bring your passport." So he comes to Trumps office with his passport. Trump checks his passport, the guy hadn't even left the country.
"It’s unclear why the intelligence officials decided to brief the president and Trump on the uncorroborated information at this time" http://www.theintelligencer.net...p-report-fake/
"Former DNC chair: Trump could be 'illegitimate' if more evidence emerges"
Personally, I think the left was throwing everything they had at Trump in the run-up to his inauguration to see if anything would stick and convince lawmakers he was illegitimate. Unfortunately for them, they didn't have much to work with. Since Russia hacking DNC emails wasn't cutting it, they wheeled out the other BS as a last ditch effort.
Incidentally, here were a few attempts to hack RNC emails logged by their security company, but nobody got in. Why? Unlike the DNC, the RNC employed high end security for their communications.
I can't keep up with every politic issue. Especially since some keep changing. I don't have the knowledge to support or deny your statements about Trump and the intelligence community.
Here's the closest I can come to a response
"Trump said the media created the appearance that he had a feud with the intelligence community. Trump’s own words undercut that assertion. While he did call himself a "big fan" and respected the service of the members of the intelligence community, he also lashed out on several occasions. He said that intelligence officials had used Nazi-like tactics against him and belittled the agencies as a whole for their incorrect belief that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction."
As for Hillary.
"Of the tens of thousands of emails investigators reviewed, 113 contained classified information, and three of those had classification markers."
Note, those three that had classification markers weren't properly marked.
I don't think we have cameras nor police officers on every corner.
