Servants of the government. Hopefully that is about to change.

In the USA over the past eight years especially, we've been treated poorly, more like subjects than citizens. The president had taken it upon himself to start governing as if he were a king, making legislation and enforcing and adjudicating.

Our new president has an entirely different attitude and I'm looking forward to seeing how life will improve.

The only purpose of a government is to prevent any other group from taking control. The duty of a citizen is to control his government. That is why all governments eventually treat their citizens as enemies of the state.
