If done well, I think it can be a very motivating thing...but it can be extremely hard to do something like that well, because it's hard to track and judge everyone especially if they have different type jobs.
In some places the bosses would just play favorites or give it to who did a good job and interested them the most. Which would make it an annoying item.
So it's more about how it's done, in my opinion.
It's nice to be recognised for your efforts.
Oh if used right it is great for motivating employees.
Sadly my last company it wasn't who you knew it was who ya blew. Oh wait my current company is like that too. It was the same couple of people that would get it. Everyone in the department would get the opportunity to vote however we could tell it was rigged because the two that got it never really did anything.
Everyone who does their job well shoukd be recognized for it. Privately.
Some can never ruse to certain levels of excellence and will always be left behind.
Yes. These are just silly ways employers think they can pull the wool over our eyes....
I see nothing wrong with it.
That's what I think, too.
Depends on the perks. It's nice to be recognized as doing a good job, and if a bit of bonus is thrown in - such as a bit of paid vacation, etc., that's makes everyone a better worker.
When I hear "employee of the month" it reminds me of GTA 5.
Haha... Like Tiff said...
I don't know what Tiff said, she's had me blocked for months. Some people can't take intelligent dissent.
She said: it creates jealousies and petty divisions.
So you do the GTA gambit? Sounds fun. No wonder you're away from Amirite a stretch at a time.
Ah, great minds think alike I guess... on some things, lol.
I wrapped it 3 times, that was sufficient for me. I still go back to it once in a while, but it's fairly rare. I'll probably do it again, but not for a few months.
I take it you haven't played it, you'd probably enjoy it, I think it's probably the best game made so far.
