Internet and cell phones, while having their own benefits, are responsible for a decline in neighbourhood and community morales.

I think that when the human race was mostly made up of small tribes, the world was smaller and any issues that you were aware of was either within your small community or just next-door. When such problems arise everyone in the community can see it and react, or not, accordingly. Communities supported their own. Now with a massive increase in population and the technology to see all the issues of the world, we don't help even more, we actually get crushed by the amount of issues in the world with a sort of why bother attitude. "Why fix such a small issue thats down the street while children are dying in Africa?" Not to say that we might not be better off without internet or phones but this does seem to be a by-product.

I agree to an extent. They also cause a crap load of car wrecks. :)

The wording of your question makes me wonder if you misunderstood my point.

I don't know about morals, but certainly people are more disconnected from one another than ever before.

Send a hand written letter to someone. You'll see how much it's appreciated!

Disagree:
My neighborhood has a community website. And everyone has a cellphone too. Our moral is high, as we all communicate daily. There are in fact more Morales in the hood than there are Smiths.

I think you got that right carmo. People are more interested in that phone than their own family. Wish they were outlawed

Sadly that is true
