What was your favorite childhood meal?🍽
I liked macaroni and butter instead of cheese..
I don't know if i could eat it now...lol
I think when we look at it, it's more of a "should I", than a "can I" these days.
I use to eat that too but not sure if I could do it myself now either lol
I haven't had a recent craving for it...lol
Me either lol
What type of bread did ya have?
I miss my grandparents, and my dad
What was in it if ya don't mind me asking?
What you did list makes it sound delicious. I miss the special meals. My dad used to make Lasagna that was out of this world. I honestly could have sat & ate a whole pan by myself.
Not sure what he did but it tasted like no other kind I have ever ate.
All my favorite foods from home, I made sure I was able to make when I left home.
What are some of you favorites?
Oh a lady at work brings in curry everyday. It looks so good.
Being British I love curry. 乂º◡º乂
Some family German dishes. One is where you fry some chicken thighs, and then then add rice (with enough water)and diced potatoes. Cook it until the rice starts to lightly brown, add salt and pepper to taste.
Oh that sounds really good.
OMG...I love homemade biscuits & white gravy.
My mama made some awesome fried fruit pies.
Also my mom used to cut toast and cheese into the shape of houses and trains and other things
Awww she sounds like a real sweetheart.
So did mine!
Oh I understand that. I am sure no matter how she made it it was made with love :)
Oh I won't lie it was scary being put under. I know now if I had to do it again I would be more at ease.
I am sore & extremely tired. Just small things wear me out. I am use to go, go, go then went to read stop. I did manage to get out of the house a bit yesterday which felt good. I am on a lot of restrictions at the moment but I have had 4 amazing kids watching over me. Thank ya kindly for asking.
My mom made really good sloppy joes.
We had them often when company would come.
She also made this really good dip for vegetables and chips.
Cant have a family gathering without someone making that dip.....
In my family it is cheese ball instead of dip.
Anything she makes is delish! and I still have it to this day. Also we have some nice side dishes
Its a toss up, Mayonaise sandwhiches and McDonalds..in the 60s when there were only up to one million sold
Oh that sounds good.
A former family friend made an amazingly delicious spaghetti dinner that had such a delicious melt-in-your-mouth effect that no other meal has compared to since.
Oh that sounds so wonderful.
I guess my childhood meal would be my mom's garlic bread with spaghetti. Though after childhood my dad became great with biscuits and my mom found a great alfredo recipe.
My Dad was a great cook, I loved when he made spaghetti meatball and hot sausage dinner.
He also made the best potato salad.
