Or the opposite. I think people "are" special. They are special to their parents, then they are special to their spouse, and then they are special to their children and grandchildren. When you make a difference in someone's life, you are special.
Hahaha... I never thought I was special. Weird, yeah, special nope. And there's a lot of weird out there.
I've never thought of myself as being special. I am special to my family, though.
Oh I never grew up feeling like I was special. In fact I grew up feeling like I was damaged good something that I still fight with today.
I personally believe that people are like like everyone else but special in their own way which is what makes everyone unique.
Princess.... I think that 99% of the people in the world are average. There is nothing wrong with being average. I'm average. I'm sure you've made a difference in peoples lives and that makes you special.
You are not now, nor ever were, damaged goods. Nobody is. Get rid of that myth. If there is a person here who thinks they haven't made any mistakes in their life or had something happen that they are not proud of, or ashamed of, I'd really like to meet them. Know what that makes you and me? The same as everyone else, and special to some.
Thank ya. That was very well said & greatly appreciated. Oh I am doing my best to get that myth out of my head.
Till I met you and then I see that I am very special.
Fortunately, I wasn't raised like that.
Way to many of today's youth, have been raised to believe they truly are special, and that's why you see so many of them crying when things don't go their way, have to have 'safe places', coloring books and hot chocolate, and classes dismissed when they find out how hard life is. They can't handle it. Sad, and very disturbing.
