I like his stoic "i'm a wise man but also human" persona. Though many things I like would probably bother him, I feel like our overall philosophy is similar, to me he seems like a great guy, like a wise grandfather
Picard. Spock saved Kirk's ass on more than one occasion. Captain Picard, on the other hand, had to babysit is first officer (Riker).
Riker was more of the Kirk of TNG. he even had the same middle initial. His name was similar to kirks actually when you think about it, common english name, T. then a combination of I R and K just add e. Also both came from rural US states
You're right! I was thinking of the similarities when I was typing my comment above, but I was thinking about things like how they both puff out their chests and suck in their guts. And how they're always checking out the female crew members.
LOL what ever happened to Marlena though the mirror girl she just kinda fell out of the story
Wow! You really are a Star Trek nerd. I just looked up Marlena (BarBara Luna). What a beauty. People like her make me think there's nothing in this world less fair than beauty. Some people are born with it, and others are not.
I think Kirk is funny; I like Picard too and every captain. Loved "Enterprise" Thought it was under-rated.
Enterprise was the only one that I did not finish all episodes of. Mostly because when it started I was distracted with some things and I missed some episodes and got lost. I liked the Orions though, the Women being the masters blew my mind but it makes perfect sense. Especially in Star trek Online where many orions are just outright dominatrices.
The Vulcan chick in Enterprise was way hot. Maybe you can get it on Netflix or something.
She was amazing!
You'd hit that.
A mutual interaction would be logical Captain
Those are some nice zoomers right there!
Picard was always my favourite although I really liked Kirk in interviews and in guest parts on other shows, he was very funny.
Because Jean Luc Picard is a tough but reasonable and intelligent. Even though I like Kirk for his cleverness and possibily his ability to fudge every single living thing and has yet to get space STDs, Picard takes the cake. Throughout the series and a couple of movies, we got to understand these two characters greatly and really, Picard was very developed character. His interactions with the crew of the starship galaxy-4 exploartion ship called the Enterprise and with other species/factions, such with the Romulan Empire/Republic and Klingon Empire.
That and his voice and appearance works well in Star Trek
