Do you think the path of least resistance in human behaviour is socially conditioned or hardwired?
in many cases it comes from a misguided definition of 'comfort'
A sense of right or wrong.
I don't know where it comes from, probably just from influences as they were brought up. I know some that if given two choices in how to achieve something, will choose the physically more uncomfortable option. They believe in "no pain no gain"
It's the pleasure principle. We are hard wired to innately seek pleasure and avoid pain.
Then I guess you mean it comes from the womb, and there are indeed genetic links from what I read. Do you think that also goes for seeking pleasure by inflicting pain on others?
For me it is just past experience
It is socially conditioned. Once you've had to sit through a 2 hour religious service...you know enough to stay away from them in the future.
