We talk a lot....sometimes 2 or 3 hours on the phone. Plus, we have lunch together quite often.
We've been best friends since 4th grade, and we've been through thick and thin (and thinner) together. We spend a lot of time laughing and reminiscing and listening to our music from the 60's. We like to share great restaurants we stumble upon.
Talk about the past, talk about the present and talk about the future. Sometimes we just sit there quietly with a stupid look on our face when we run out of things to talk about.
Encourage each other, brainstorm ideas
My best friend of 60 years lives in Florida and I live in New York. When we see each other, every year or two, we spend hours just talking about how long we've been friends, we brag about our families, we listen to Golden Oldies, reminisce about our youth and commiserate about growing older. I cherish those visits and I can't imagine a time when she may not be in my life.
We laugh a lot mainly at each other
