Oh that is easy Fried, Fried, Fried
Great minds think alike... I had a post on cooking chicken a couple of days ago...lol...
I still don't know which way I like it the best...sometimes a lower calorie-lower fat version...sometimes a breaded version...never deep fried...
You can cook tofu just the way you cook chicken and it will taste just as good...
"You can cook tofu just the way you cook chicken and it will taste just as good..."
That's a dirty f*cking lie. lol :)
What I told Maze...
Have you ever had tofu cooked well? I thought not...ha!
Also...you eat tofu in your Chinese take-out food ALL the time...and no one EVER complains....:)
I don't eat Chinese food. :)
See above...my second response to Maze. Thank you darling.
Still not going to eat that crap.
Tofu will never mind that you're stubborn. :)
No...I think it minds that you eat it, though.
I can assure you that I do not eat tofu. I have eaten it, but I don't like it. And if my Chinese takeout contained tofu, I would most certainly complain. :)
How many varieties of tofu have you had? Tofu...comes in all different textures...:)
I like "western style" Chinese food, deep fried prawns, chicken chow mein, that kind of stuff. Tofu isn't part of that program.
Incidentally, as far as I know, tofu isn't really eaten in Asia, they eat a fermented version of it that I've heard is an acquired taste. But I don't know much about it, so I could be wrong.
And I thought Asian countries ate a lot of tofu...or soy. But I, too, could be wrong.
Prawns are just a fancy word for shrimp.
There are different types of tofu...different textures.
You can get light jello like tofu which can add to a smoothy. It's also good for making cheese cakes... I took a pineapple cheese cake to work once without telling ppl it was tofu...no one guessed - it was demolished within 10 minutes... It really is delicious...
I've also made tofu into a ''scrambled egg curry''...not bad...not any diff really from using eggs.
You can use tofu that is compact and very firm...that is one of my faves.... This is what you can cut into cubes and use in a stir fry...soak it in a marinade and it will take on the taste and flavour of what you marinade it in...just as chicken does.
And I'm not some vegetarian freak. I've just used tofu over the years and resent the lack of appreciation this protein has gotten.... It seems to be a well-kept secret...
Well it's nice to have great minds ;) :)
But I was thinking about it, because I really like chicken and I just have their commercial in my head that talks about chicken being bland and not that taste, when I like it.
Chicken is such a great protein... But yes...it can taste as bland as tofu unless you doctor it...just like you need to doctor tofu...not a word of a lie...
I like to doctor items up, that might be partly why I like chicken, pasta, rice, etc... because you can have it and make it any flavor you want by adding different items to it.
Yes...and raw chicken is just the same as raw tofu...you have to treat them both the same...
As I was saying about Chinese take out food...in stir fries they always put in tofu...and it's delightful....ha!
The chicken dish I eat most often is 'butter chicken,' so I guess that's my favorite, although there are many other chicken recipes I like too.
Fried, boiled or fricasseed.
you want your chicken prepared for the worst? would that then make you the worst? since it's yours jk jk
or you giving it to the worse?
but yeah that chicken was ready to fight for worst .
Very very true... but that brings up an interesting question.
Is a chicken that isn't chicken, really chicken?
Man that's a lot of chicken.
And it looks like you could be right too... as this duck is in the same pose.
Well is he a pretty duck? ... he doesn't look pretty to me.
I'm not good at judging on my pretty vs ugly of ducks... they look a lot of the same to me.
Well at least you can admit it .
Impressive collection count! That's a lot of comics. :)
You must really like that duck :)
Pretty much any way, other than raw.
