actually it started in NY NY but I stopped for like 4 days at a friends house
Rochester, NY to Seattle, WA and then Victoria, CA. I stumbled upon something I had never even heard of before. The Sturgis Bike Rally.
We had no clue. We were on I-90 in Minnesota, hundreds of miles from Sturgis, when we started noticing a torrent of motorcycles. It was crazy.

Yes it was! I discovered this sub-culture I never knew existed. There were even biker families - little kids where black leather. We stayed at a bed and breakfast with a biker couple.
yeah they are fun! I love seeing the environment change. When you go cross country it goes from mountains to hilly to low hills to flat to REALLY flat and no trees, to wild grass to desert dust to Jagged massive mountains to wide sandy desert to more mountains then palm trees if you're going that way

About 500 miles to northern Indiana.
Indiana to Texas it is a 18 hour trip for me.
