I'm sure you have one of each. For the most part there is one on the other side that is at least the least hated by you
My favorite Democrat is probably Truman but JFK ain't bad either. Least Favorite was probably Jackson.
Favorite republican president was Lincoln most likely, and least favorite is probably Trump
He was an absolute prick, but he got stuff done that no other Dem or Rep could: I never thought I would see the wall come down, but he made it happen:
Johnson will always have the blood of 58,000 American soldiers on his hands. I remember those times well.
I agree about Reagan though.
I agree that he had the biggest portion, but all these guys were responsible between 1955-1975: Eisenhower, JFK, LBJ , and Nixon.
I agree that all were guilty but Johnson is the one who really ramped it up while putting restrictions on the rules of engagement. Johnson also made a mint off Nam.
I bet Reagan will be a popular pick. LBJ had a better domestic than foreign policy
I agree. It's tough to balance the civil rights movement with the Vietnam War, but there have been many wars, not so many civil rights acts.
That was a key to securing our freedoms, and cannot be overlooked. Which is why he isn't even close to my least favorite despite the war
I'm just talking about the right to vote. That's something that should have been accomplished decades before he finally pushed it through. It's a shame that it took 100 years after the civil war for it to happen. Some very strong leadership went through that office during that time, but didn't do it.
Reagan and JFK
Favorite Republican President: Eisenhower
Favorite Democrat President: Kennedy
Well for selfish reasons and only counting those that I remember as an adult.
Nixon ended the draft a few months before my number was up, so as bad as he was in some people's eyes, as an 18 year old I was very psyched not to have to go to war like most of the guys a few years older than me.
I was very prosperous under the Clinton administration. He did some things I did not approve of, but I made a lot of money while we was president in salary, real estate and in the stock market. So I have fond memories of that era, it set me up for living very comfortably ever since.
